Stephanie and Will came all the way from Virginia, USA to celebrate their destination wedding in Rome at the end of May 2019.
The bride was wearing such a delicate, classy wedding dress and elegant, yet comfortable bridal shoes. And this surely was a clever choice to walk around the cobblestoned streets of Rome.
The pastel-hued bridal bouquet including peonies, which can only be found at that time of the year, perfectly complemented her graceful look.
After considering a few of the stunning churches suggested by Dolce Vita Weddings, the couple chose S. Maria sopra Minerva, a unique Catholic church by the Pantheon with amazing blue ceilings. The heartfelt ceremony was celebrated with families and friends, while a trio of expert musicians with cello, violin and flute played classic tunes, such as the famous Kanon in D by Pachelbel, one of my favourite songs.
Right after the ceremony, the guests headed to the reception venue, while the couple left with the photographer and videographer. The rain started to fall, but despite the weather, a very intimate, romantic and tasteful photo and video shoot ensued and Stephanie and Will never lost their smiles.
The wedding reception took place at one of the top wedding venues in Rome: Casina Valadier, an elegant, neoclassic venue dating back to the 19thcentury and situated in the beautiful Villa Borghese Gardens.
Authentic Italian food, a delicious wedding cake, truly felt speeches, hugs and dancing: everyone had fun and enjoyed this truly beautiful destination wedding in Rome!
The day really proved Rome can be perfect place for a destination wedding even under the rain, if the event is carefully planned and everyone is happy to celebrate and have fun no matter what!
